MEXICO CITY (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 23rd February, 2019) Citgo, the US-based subsidiary of Venezuelan state-run energy giant PDVSA, said in a statement it had approved new members of the board of directors, who were appointed by the Venezuelan opposition amid a political crisis in the country, and was looking to recruit a new company head.
The new board held its first meeting on Friday.
During the session, new top managers of the company were appointed.
Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro has criticized the moves of the opposition, saying it was acting at the instructions of the United States that sought to appropriate Venezuela's oil assets.
