4-day Polio Drive To Start From Dec 10 In Muzaffarabad

A four days polio drive in district would start from December 10 as it was decided at a high level meeting held in Deputy Commissioner office here on Monday.
Deputy Commissioner Muzaffarabad, Masood ur Rehman chaired the meeting.
The meeting was also attended by AJK Health Department, District administration, police and other concerned officials.
DHO Muzaffarabad, Dr. Kamran Riaz Dar told the meeting that teams of Health department would administer polio drops to the children up to five years during the campaign.
While giving the details, he said that almost 124,249 children would be administrated polio drops in the district and 384 mobile teams, 62 fixed centers and 19 transit points would be set up in this regard.
Dr. Kamran said the teams at fixed centers and transit points would remain busy from 8:00 am up to 4:00 pm and during the drive 29 zonal supervisors and 91 area In-charges had been appointed to monitor the polio campaign, ensure the supply of vaccines and other necessary equipments.
The monitoring teams will also send the performance reports of the polio teams to the Control Room at every evening during the 4 days polio drive for ensuring its success.
He appealed the all segments of the society to cooperate with the polio teams and help to make the drive successful, as the AJK was polio free territory for last 18 years.
