Excessive Use Of Beauty Products Causing Skin Cancer Among Women: Dr Zubair Hassan

Substandard beauty and face whitening creams was one of the main cause of the face and skin cancer among women in Pakistan.

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Nov, 2018 ) :Substandard beauty and face whitening creams was one of the main cause of the face and skin cancer among women in Pakistan.

Nuclear Medicine, Oncology and Radiotherapy Institute (NORI), Dr Zubair Hasan told APP, there was an alarming increase of patients suffering from skin disease, including face skin cancer.

He said that Pakistan among those countries where a large number of patients, especially women, young girls were suffering from skin cancer.

Reason behind the skin cancer, mainly was the excessive use of substranded beauty and face whitening creams and their toxic material such as potent steroids, mercury and vitamin E were frequently used in these whitening creams by different brands which generated faster impact on the skin of women.

He said that the chemicals used in the manufacturing of these beauty products not only harm to the skin of women but also harmed them medically and psychologically in the form of Acne Vulgaris, Irritation, Allergy, the problems of rapid mood swing, anxiety on a long-term basis.

He said that the depression rate was also growing largely among the young girls who applied these cream on their faces and body.

He said that there was a dire need to promote the natural beauty products which have no side effects on the skin and discourage creams made of toxic chemical with damaging repercussions on the health.

A Cosmetologist and Skin Dermatologist of Pakistan Institute of Medical Science (PIMS) Dr. Hammad Aslam said that use of natural herbals was the best thing to repair the damage skin and improve the face beauty.

He said that Aloe vera was extensively used in all the beauty products and it has antiviral and antibacterial properties which was not only helping repair and improve the skin beauty but also protects from other diseases.

He said Aloe vera was containing the multi-vitamin including vitmain A, B, C and E which leaves a very positive amazing impacts on the human body and skin.
