Feb 20 Last Date For Artists To Apply For Health Insurance

Punjab Information and Culture Department has set Feb 20, 2019 as the last date for artists to avail provincial government's newly launched 'Artists Health Insurance Card' scheme to get free treatment facilities
The initiative has been taken on the orders of Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar to benefit artists and those providing technical support in artistic creations, according to an article released to the media by the Information Department Multan on Monday.
The holders of Artists Health Insurance Cards would be entitled to get indoor free treatment against different diseases including hepatitis, all kidney diseases, cancer (chemotherapy, radiotherapy, surgery), diabetes and related complications, injured of road accidents and fire incidents, all cardiac diseases, pregnancy and Caesarean section, gastroenteritis, dengue fever etc.
Artists can obtain the application forms from their respective arts councils or download it from the websites including 'www.icd.punjab.gov.pk', 'www.alhamra.punjab.gov.pk', and 'www.pilac.punjab.gov.pk'.
