MSs moot reviews plan posting, transfer of doctors

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Jan, 2019 ) :A meeting of the Medical Superintendents (MSs) of all hospitals across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was held with Director General (DG) Health Services, Dr. Arshad Ahmad Khan in the chair here on Thursday.

The meeting reviewed the number of doctors, specialists, medicines and machinery and presented a report on the shortage of these facilities in hospitals.

The participants also discussed the available manpower and steps of the government regarding the shortage of medicines in the hospitals.

The meeting was told that the deficiency of doctors in all big and small hospitals of the province is being filled under a comprehensive plan and for this purpose, a detailed list of all doctors available with Health Department has been prepared.

According to the same plan, each doctor will be posted in his native district, which will fill the deficiency of doctors in most of districts and in case of need vacant post of doctor in any district will be filled with a doctor from the adjacent district.

The meeting was further told that a comprehensive plan is being prepared for providing medicines and other equipment to different hospitals across the province.

The first phase of the initiative is being started very soon, which will be implemented in four districts.

For this purpose, an agreement had also been signed with USAID under which the provision of medicines would be ensured to all hospitals.

The meeting was also told that while utilizing the available resources in the province and provision of maximum health facilities needws hard work.

In this connection, a message of the Provincial Minister for Health was also presented, which stress on provision of immediate health facilities to patients.

During the meeting, the medical superintendents of all hospitals were directed for guaranteeing the attendanceof the available health staff at any cost and extending full cooperation to patients entering the hospitals.
