Nishtar Medical University To Offer Angiography Facility Soon

Acting Vice Chancellor Nishtar Medical University Dr Ahamd Ejaz Masood has announced that angiography facility for patients at Nishtar Hospital will be available soon, in collaboration with Children Complex, once or twice a week.
MULTAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Apr, 2018 ) :Acting Vice Chancellor Nishtar Medical University Dr Ahamd Ejaz Masood has announced that angiography facility for patients at Nishtar Hospital will be available soon, in collaboration with Children Complex, once or twice a week.
Speaking at a press conference at Staff Club of NMU here on Friday, he said that the hospital had cardiology ward but it did not offer angiography due to nonavailability of the machine. He said that the hospital had reached an agreement with Children Complex and now the angiography facility would be available there from Monday.
A new neonatal ward has also been established at Nishtar Hospital which would start functioning within two weeks, he said and added that eye transplant would commence soon at the health facility.
Banglow No 1 of Doctors Colony is being converted into varsity's secretariat where the VC, Registrar, Controller Examination and other officials of the NMU would sit.
He said that a team of Higher education Commission would visit the NMU on April 21 (Saturday) for carrying out the recognition process of the university.
About the cancer center, the acting VC said that it was under construction adding that at cancer ward they were conducting mammography at nominal charges. Up to 95 percent medicine for cancer patients were also being provided free-of-charge, Dr Ejaz said and added that they had prepared PC-1 for revamping of Accident & Emergency (A&E) Ward.
He called upon the government to build a Surgical Tower at Nishtar too, like the Mayo Hospital's in Lahore. Medical Superintendent (MS) Nishtar Dr Abdul Rehman, Dr Ghulam Abbas, Dr Rashid Qamar Rao, Dr Masood-ul-Hiraj, Dr Shahid Rao and others were also present on the occasion.
