Treatment Of All Major Diseases Included In Sehat Sahulat Programe: Dr. Umer Farooq

ABBOTTABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Sep, 2021 ) :Dean Ayub Medical College and CEO ATH Prof. Dr. Umar Farooq Ayub Teaching Hospital (ATH) Thursday said that we are taking all measures to provide the best possible treatment facilities to the public through the Sehat Sahulat Program.
He expressed these views while chairing a meeting of all departments of the hospital regarding the health facility program.
Medical Director Prof. Dr. Alam Zeb Swati was also present at the meeting.
During the meeting, the heads of all departments briefed the meeting about the issues faced in the health facility program. In this regard, Dean CEO ATH Prof. Dr. Omar Farooq said that under the health facility program, Rs. 1 million has been allocated annually for all members of a family, but following the procedure, all the money cannot be spent on a single member of the family and a limit is set for each affiliate.
Priority treatments in this program include cardiovascular disease and accidental treatment, referral in case of secondary disease complications, complications of diabetes, kidney transplant, prosthetic arm or leg, all types of cancer, kidney and bladder diseases including dialysis, breast cancer screening and neurosurgery.
In this regard, Medical Director ATH Prof. Dr. Alam Zeb Swati said that the health facility program is proving very beneficial for the poor people who could not get treatment for major diseases before, now they can cure every major and minor disease. At ATH under the Sehat Sahulat program all treatment is free, adding he said.
Dr. Alam Zeb further said that the management of Ayub Teaching Hospital, doctors, nurses and all other staff are serving the patients day and night, our IT department has also introduced a new system to facilitate the patients in the ATH in a better way and now the provision of services is improved.
