Abolishing Kashmir Council People's Decision: Mushtaq Ahmed Minhas

Minister for Information, Tourism and IT Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Mushtaq Ahmed Minhas said Monday the move to abolish Azad Jammu & Kashmir Council was the decision of the people of the state, which was going to be endorsed by the elected Prime Minister of the State.

MIRPUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Feb, 2018 ) :Minister for Information, Tourism and IT Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Mushtaq Ahmed Minhas said Monday the move to abolish Azad Jammu & Kashmir Council was the decision of the people of the state, which was going to be endorsed by the elected Prime Minister of the State.

In an interview on Monday, the Minister said that when the PML-N government was going to reinforce the real authority in the State, some people were going to bow for their personal means, "I caution them that people of AJK are standing behind their elected Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan" he maintained.

Mushtaq Minhas said the amendments in the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Interim Constitution Act 1974 and the abolishment of the Kashmir Council was part of our manifestation on which the already formed committees had progressed.

He reiterated that relations between the people of Pakistan and Kashmir were eternal which could not be weaken by any power of the world.

He said that Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider took Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif in confidence on this matter and after a detailed consideration and reviewing the state of affairs, decision for the bright future of Kashmiri had been taken.

He said that some of the ill-fated representatives prefer their personal interests rather than public interest and they become selfish in politics. While talking on protest by Council employees, he said the government employees cannot be permitted to drive out rallies.

"The government employees of the Kashmir Council should take care of their job, they are not permitted to blackmail the legislators" Minister for Information stated. He added that the relationship between Pakistan and Kashmir are very strong because the Kashmiris' final destination is Pakistan for which they have sacrificed millions of lives.
