Hours Before Killing, Bukhari Was Defending On Social Media

Hours before he fell to the bullets of unidentified gunmen, Rising Kashmir Chief Editor Shujaat Bukhari,in Indian occupied Kashmir, had posted the latest UN report on human rights violations in the territory.

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Jun, 2018 ) :Hours before he fell to the bullets of unidentified gunmen, Rising Kashmir Chief Editor Shujaat Bukhari,in Indian occupied Kashmir, had posted the latest UN report on human rights violations in the territory.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Shujaat Bukhari, before his assassination, had also vigorously defended his work on Twitter when some Delhi-based journalists accused him of doing "biased" reportage on Kashmir.

One of his last tweets read, "First-ever @UNHumanRights report on #Kashmir calls for #international inquiry into multiple violations".

Bukhari said in another tweet, "In #Kashmir we have done Journalism with pride and will continue to highlight what happens on ground".
