Late Elderly Hero Of Kashmir Freedom Struggle Remembered

Renowned elderly hero of Kashmir freedom struggle and spiritual leader of Jammu & Kashmir Mir Waiz of Kashmir Moulana Muhammad Yousaf Shah was paid rich tributes on the eve of his death anniversary observed in Azad Jammu & Kashmir on Tuesday with solemnity and reverence with the renewal of the pledge to continue the mission of the departed leader till the struggle for liberation of the motherland from Indian yoke reach to its logical end
President Sardar Masood Khan and the Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan of Azad Jammu & Kashmir in their separate messages paid glorious tributes to Mir Waiz for his life time services for the Kashmir cause.
In his message the AJK President Sardar Muhammad Masood Khan said Mir Waiz was a great political and religious personality whose role in Kashmir liberation struggle was unforgettable.
The President said "we should all make efforts for completion of mission of Mir Waiz". He said that Moulana guided the Muslims of Kashmir with sagacity and tenacity at a time when they were passing through a difficult time.
He said family of Mir Waiz remained center of promotion of islam for a long time in Srinagar.
The AJK Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan in his message said Kashmiri nation would continue its struggle for Kashmir liberation for which Mir Waiz and his family strove hard for a long time.
On one hand he created awareness among Muslims for their political rights and on the other he strove for their unity and harmony to achieve their mission of liberation, he added.
He said not only Moulana highlighted the Kashmir issue at international level he also took keen interest in its growth and development. For this purpose, he visited a number of countries.
He said translating Holy Quran in Kashmiri language was one of the great contributions of Mir Waiz for Kashmiri nation.
In his message on this occasion, AJK Information Minister Mushtaq Ahmed Minhas said while paying rich tributes to the political and religious services of the Mir Waiz that departed leader had invaluable contribution to keep the people associated with Islam and Kashmir liberation struggle.
He knew that Muslims lacked unity therefore he made great efforts for creating unity, brotherhood and harmony among them. He said we should all vow to continue the mission of Mir Waiz until the goal of liberation was achieved, Minhas added.
