ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Sep, 2018 ) :In Indian occupied Kashmir, Indian troops launched a cordon-and-search-operation at Ameerabad in Tral area of Pulwama district.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the personnel of police, army's 42 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) cordoned off Ameerabad village and launched door-to-door search operation.
Searches were carried out several times in the area, locals told media. The operation was on for hours together. They said that the forces' personnel had sealed all the entry and exit points. People from many adjoining villages could not move out due to heavy deployment of forces.
Meanwhile, the search operation in Rajouri's Lamberi area continued for third day, even as teams of special army commandos were pressed into service to expedite the searches.
On the other hand, Indian army has put Doda area of Jammu region under scanner after reports about some youth joining freedom struggle. The Army is seeking details of local youth studying and working outside Doda. The local said that twice a day soldiers patrolled the streets, bringing back fear psychosis of 1990s.
"I was approached by the army a few days ago and asked to provide details of youth who are studying outside my village. They also sought details of villagers working in other parts of Jammu and Kashmir or outside. I had no such information," said Riyaz Ahmed, a former sarpanch of Ghat village of Doda.
