48 Shops Demolished As Anti-encroachment Operation Continues In Multan

The district administration demolished illegally constructed 48 shops during on-going operation against encroachments at Gol Bagh here on Tuesday.

MULTAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Oct, 2018 ) :The district administration demolished illegally constructed 48 shops during on-going operation against encroachments at Gol Bagh here on Tuesday.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Revenue Dr Mir Nawaz led the operation while officials from MEPCO, WASA, SNGPL, Waste Management Company and other took part in the operation to remove encroachments.

The district administration cordoned off the area during the operation.

Deputy Commissioner Mudassar Riaz while talking to media said that an estimated cost of the land retrieved was about Rs600 million.

He said that the operation was being conducted following instructions from Punjab Government to retrieve its land from grabbers.

Mudassar Riaz said the operation would continue till objectives were achieved adding that in next phase, illegal palazas would be demolished.
