An earthquake of intensity measuring 6.1 on international Richter scale jolted several parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa here on Wednesday afternoon

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 31st Jan, 2018 ) :An earthquake of intensity measuring 6.1 on international Richter scale jolted several parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa here on Wednesday afternoon.

According to Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the earthquake originated at 12:05PST having a depth of 178 KM jolted Peshawar, Malakand, Dir upper and Dir lower and other parts of the province.

A spokesman of Provincial Department Management Authority (PDMA) said the authorities were in contact with all the districts of the province to ascertain about damage of property or any casualty. The epicenter of the quake was Hindukash region of Afghanistan. No loss of life or property was reported till filing of this report.
