65 Arrested For Violation Of Official Price List From Peshawar

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th Jun, 2018 ) :District administration Peshawar arrested 65 persons for violation of the official price list and overcharging consumers in prices of fruits and vegetables.Taking notice of the growing prices of the fruits and vegetables, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Peshawar, Dr.

Imran Hamid Sheikh has constituted a special squad, which on daily basis visits fruit and vegetable markets in the wee hours and issue price list. In this connection, the squad Monday morning visited the fruits and vegetable markets and announced official price lists.

Later, the teams of the district administration carried out checking of the essential items in different areas including Hayatabad, Charsadda Road, Dalazak Road, Kohat Road, City area, University Road, G.T.

Road, Gulbahar and Hashtnagri localities and on violation of the price list arrested 65 profiteers. Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner has directed all Additional Assistant Commissioners (AACs)for sending the violators of the official price list to prisons during the monthof Ramadan and showing leniency to no one in this regard.
