City School held 'The Big bash' talent show

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th Apr, 2018 ) :The City School (TCS) F-8 campus held 'La Grande Fete' (French meaning the Big Bash) talent show to depict interpersonal skills of students through stage performances.

Talking to APP, Headmistress, TCS, F-8 Campus Maryam Jamshaid said the basic aim of the talent show was to encourage students to participate in co-curricular activities and make them realize about the importance of religious customs, norms and ethical values through stage performances.

The students presented cultures and traditions of various regions particularly Chinese culture, she added. She said every single performance had inculcated importance of moral, humanitarian and philanthropic values that could help to make the students become one of the best members of the society.

She said that education is not merely meant for teaching rather to acquaint a student with essential etiquettes for social peace, happiness that leads to develop politeness, integrity, humanity and honesty in his personality.

The Member National Assembly (MNA) PML-N Romina Khurshid Alam was the chief guest while Saudi, Chinese diplomats, Assistant Superintendent of Islamabad Police (ASP) Arsala Saleem and other notables were guest of honors.

Speaking on the occasion MNA Romina Khurshid Alam said it is a big challenge to groom a kindergarten child with proper devotion and care while the teachers and parents deserve appreciation for their commitment towards their children.

She lauded the performances of the students and congratulated the school teachers for successful conduct of the big bash event. The students performed choir songs, TCS Song, English Ballet dance, urdu tableau, Kindergarten students' performances, Jungle dance, Dragon dance and Dream Song portraying moral values with the basic theme of honesty.

The headmistress TCS, Maryam Jamshaid presented shields to the chief guest and guest of honors.
