A Delhi court has extended the remand of ten illegally detained Kashmiris including seven Hurriyat leaders by 28 more days
ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Dec, 2017 ) :A Delhi court has extended the remand of ten illegally detained Kashmiris including seven Hurriyat leaders by 28 more days. According to Kashmir Media service, the family members of one among the detained Hurriyat leaders told media in Delhi that the seven Hurriyat leaders including Altaf Ahmed Shah, Peer Saifullah, Merajuddin Kalwal, Ayaz Muhammad Akbar, Shahid-ul-Islam, Nayeem Ahmad Khan and Farooq Ahmed Dar and a renowned Kashmiri businessman, Zahoor Watali, photojournalist, Kamran Yousuf, and a youth Javaid Ahmed appeared in hearing via video conference.
'Patiala house court New Delhi extended their remand till January 12, 2018, he said. It is to mention here that the Hurriyat leaders were arrested by India's National Investigation Agency (NIA) on August 25, 2017 in a false case of money laundering. Presently, they have been lodged in New Delhi's infamous Tihar Jail on judicial remand.
