FIA, Pesco To Jointly Work In Campaign Against Defaulter, Power Pilferers

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and Pesco have decided to collectively work in ongoing operations aiming improvement of recovery and giving impetus to the campaign against power pilferers
PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Oct, 2023) The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and Pesco have decided to collectively work in ongoing operations aiming improvement of recovery and giving impetus to the campaign against power pilferers.
The decision to this effect was taken in a meeting that was attended by Deputy Director FIA, Saadullah Khan, Chief Executive Officer Pesco, Qazi Muhammad Tahir, Chief Engineer O & M, Akhtar Hameed, Superintending Engineers of Peshawar and Khyber Circles and other concerned officials, said a press release issued here by Pesco.
Deputy Director FIA said that Pesco would be provided assistance to end power pilferage and to recover the outstanding amount from defaulters.
He said that action would be taken against consumers that are refusing to pay their dues while FIA would compile a list of Pesco employees for necessary action that are providing help to defaulters and pilferers.
CEO Pesco welcomed the collaboration and said that it would provide fruitful results adding that federal and provincial authorities are on the same page about power theft. He said that Mardan has been made load shedding free and very soon provincial metropolis would achieve the same status.
