Govt Working On War-footing To End Energy Crisis: Bosan

MULTAN, Feb 6 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 06th Feb, 2017 ) : Federal Minister for National food Security and Research (MNFSR) Sikandar Hayat Bosan said the federal government was working on war-footing to end energy crisis in the country.

In this regard, many energy projects would be completed by the end of the current year which would help adding thousands of megawatts electricity in the system. He said this in a meeting with Mepco Chief Masood Salahuddin and MNA Jafar Leghari here.

He said the incumbent government had released billions of rupees for the upgradation of system which include new grid station, upgradation of existing grids, new transmission lines, installation of new high and low tension feeders at scattered places.

The Mepco chief informed the federal minister that many schemes in NA-151, had been completed. On this occasion, PML N MNA Jafar Leghari also discussed issue of electricity with Mepco Chief. He urged Mepco chief to speed up process of resolving electricity problems in Rajanpur. Mepco Chief Masood Salahuddin assured him of addressing problems of Rajanpur as early as possible.
