India Not Letting Composite Dialogue Result-oriented: Haider

MIRPUR (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Jan, 2019 ) , Jan 15 (APP):Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan Tuesday said India was not letting the composite dialogue between India and Pakistan to be result-oriented.
Talks between the two countries had been held at all levels in the past 70 years, which ended without producing any result mainly due to obduracy of India, he said while speaking in the AJK Legislative Assembly in Muzaffarabad.
He said Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi had unleashed a fresh string of terror in held Kashmir to enhance his vote bank.
He suggested that a parliamentary delegation consisting of members legislative assembly from both sides of Kashmir should be formed which should brief the political leadership of Pakistan, bar councils, lawyers associations and media on atrocities and human rights abuses in IoK.
India, he said, was committing naked aggression against civilian population from across the Line of Control.
He said all the issues related to environment and economy had been resolved with the Federal government.
He hoped that the reservations of the AJK government on Kohala project would also be addressed accordingly.
Raja Farooq said in response to their letter, Prime Minister Imran Khan had constituted a committee in that regard.
Similarly, they had highlighted the environmental and economic issues arisen after completion of Neelum-Jhelum project. On the move of AJK government, he added, the federal government has constituted a high level committee and sought its report.
Recounting the sacrifices of people of Kashmir for Pakistan, he said Pakistan was the ultimate goal for Kashmiris.
Farooq Haider said democracy was flourishing in the AJK, where it had never been derailed. All the political parties had a role behind that success story, he added.
He said the legislative assembly session would continue for at least 60 days in a year. He reiterated that opposition would always be given due respect and representation in the House.
The prime minister congratulated Amir Altaf on being elected as deputy speaker of AJK Legislative Assembly.
