Intl' Community Urged To Help Resolve Kashmir Issue

LAHORE, Feb 1 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 01st Feb, 2017 ) : Leaders of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz on Wednesday urged the international community to play its due role in resolving the decades long core issue of Kashmir.
Talking to APP, they appealed to the international community to get implemented UN Security Council's Resolutions to give the right of self-determination to Kashmiris. PML-N leader and Evacuee Trust Property board (ETPB) Chairman Siddiq-ul-Farooq said, "Our hearts beat with our Kashmiri brethren".
He said peace in South Asia could not be established unilaterally. Pakistan wants dialogue to resolve Kashmir issue peacefully but India was budge from holding parleys due to its domestic political pressure.
To a question, Farooq warned that any violation of the Indus Basin Treaty would be considered as an act of war and violation of international treaty. Senator Kulsoom Parveen said that self-determination to Kashmiris was a fundamental right.
She said the Kashmir dispute was longstanding and the Muslims of Kashmir expect support of international community for their just cause. Senator Najma Hameed said that in 2016, India violated more than 90 times ceasefire at the Line of Control.
She said the India could not divert global attention from the atrocities in held Kashmir. She praised the spirit and determination of Kashmiri people for their struggle for the right to self-determination.
