Justice Saqib Nisar Takes Oath As Acting CJP

ISLAMABAD,(UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Augst,2016) : Justice Mian Saqib Nisar on Friday took oath as Acting Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP). The oath was administered by Justice Asif Saeed Khan Khosa in the Supreme Court. The ceremony was held in a very simple manner due to the Quetta tragedy on August 8.
Justice Mian Saqib Nisar will act as Chief Justice of Pakistan during the period, Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali, Chief Justice of Pakistan remains abroad.
The ceremony was attended by Judges of the Supreme Court of Pakistan, Attorney General for Pakistan and Law Officers. Officers and staff of the Supreme Court of Pakistan were also present at the occasion.
