ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th May, 2019 ) :District and Sessions Judge Islamabad Sohail Nasir has awarded death sentence to an accused involved in the murder of a cab driver.
District and Sessions Judge awarded death sentence to Atta Ullah on the charges of killing cab driver Junaid Mustafa. The court ordered to pay Rs. 500,000 as `Diyat' while it imposed a fine of Rs 100,000 on the convict who had also to face imprisonment for ten years.
It is to mention that a complainant Sohail Mustafa stated that his 26-year old brother Junaid Mustafa used to earn his livelihood by driving a cab. On February 22, 2018, Inspector Riaz Gondal called him and told him about the murder of his brother.
Following the call, he went to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) hospital and identified his brother.
Later, he said that NIC of Atta Ullah was recovered from the cab following which investigation was carried out to reach the culprit.
