ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News -2nd Sep,2016) : Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development will make the necessary arrangements about hearing the complaints of Overseas Pakistanis (OPs) at the Federal Ombudsman Secretariat through Skype till September 9.
This was revealed by Senior Adviser and Grievance Commissioner for Overseas Pakistanis, Hafiz Ahsaan Ahmed Khokhar while talking to APP on Friday. Hafiz Ahsaan Khokhar said this facility will be extended to the Overseas Pakistanis in those countries which are having the strength of more than 1,00,000 (one lac).
The complaints via Skype will be heard for countries where community welfare attaches are dispatched to resolve the problems in the minimum time possible. The community welfare attaches after receiving the complaints of OPs will forward online to the Federal Ombudsman Secretariat while the Ombudsman Secretariat then forward it to the relevant departments to respond within 15 days.
The date and time for listening the complaints on Skype will be decided and all the relevant officials will be called at the Ombudsman Secretariat to hear that. "We have taken 40 federal departments onboard regarding extending Skype facility to the OPs for resolution of their problems", Hafiz Ahsaan Khokhar said.
Using Skype for contacting and resolving expat's complaints is a cost and time effective measure and is bound to bring improvements to the process, he said. This initiative would help expatriate Pakistanis the world over, saving them unnecessary hassles, time and money in resolving some common issues faced by them.
