Moharram Procession Culminates Peacefully In Hazara

Under strict security measures mourning processions came out from their respective areas in Abbottabad, Haripur, and Mansehra and culminated peacefully after paying homage to the martyrs of Karbala.

ABBOTTABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Sep, 2018 ) :Under strict security measures mourning processions came out from their respective areas in Abbottabad, Haripur, and Mansehra and culminated peacefully after paying homage to the martyrs of Karbala.

Mourning procession was taken out from Tanchi Chowck, the roads leading to the route were tightly sealed and everyone joining in the procession had to undergo a body search.

Police monitored the Moharram processions through command and control centre where drone cameras, night vision cameras and CCTV cameras were also used for 10th Moharram procession.

To ensure the foolproof security more than 800 policemen including district police, CTD, Elite force, Rapid Response Force, Traffic Police, Special Branch, Bomb Disposal Squad, Canine Unite, district security branch and ladies commandos were deployed on 10th Moharram procession.

In Mansehra, the main procession came out from Imambargha Muftiabad Manshera city and after marching on its route culminated at the same spot.

Police and district administration Manshera took foolproof measures for the security of the mourning processional deployed 600 policemen and Frontier Constabulary (FC) at various places of the route and Imambarga to avoid any untoward during the 10th Moharram.

District administration Manshera also installed Close Circuit Television Cameras (CCTV) at Ghazikot, Mufti Abad and Akbar Khan road where most of the Imambarghas were situated and banned the entry of Afghan refugees in the city during the 10th Moharram and also prohibited the entry of the irrelevant persons in the mourning procession and majlis.

Main mourning procession of the Haripur came out on 9th Moharram and peacefully completed the route and culminated under strict security measures.
