NARAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st Aug, 2025) A monsoon tree plantation campaign was launched in Naran by the Additional Assistant Commissioner Revenue, in collaboration with the Sub-Divisional Forest Officer (SDFO) Kaghan, as part of ongoing efforts to combat climate change and promote environmental conservation.
The drive aims to reduce environmental pollution, curb the adverse effects of climate change, and preserve the natural beauty of the region. During the campaign, a variety of indigenous tree saplings were planted across the mountainous terrain of Naran and its adjoining areas to enhance greenery and prevent soil erosion.
Speaking on the occasion, the Additional Assistant Commissioner emphasized the vital role of public participation—particularly by youth and students—in such initiatives. He stated that planting even a single tree is a meaningful contribution to environmental preservation and a step toward securing a healthier future for generations to come.
Officials from the Forest Department, local community members, and representatives of other relevant organizations actively participated in the drive. Participants pledged to take full advantage of the monsoon season by planting as many trees as possible across the region.
