NA Session Proceedings Suspended For Lack Of Quorum

Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser Friday suspended the proceedings of the House at 11.14 a.m due to lack of quorum

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Jan, 2019 ) :Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser Friday suspended the proceedings of the House at 11.14 a.m due to lack of quorum.

Sheikh Fayyaz of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz pointed out the quorum during the Question Hour.

The Speaker asked for the count of the members and suspended the proceedings till completion of the quorum as the required number of lawmakers were not present in the House.

"The House is not in order, so the proceeding is suspended till completion of the quorum," he said.

However, he reminded that it was agreed among the leaders of parliamentary parties that quorum would not be pointed out during the Question Hour. Later, when the members again came to the house, a head count was made and the Speaker found the quorum complete and the house in order so the proceedings went ahead.
