A meeting of the National Assembly Standing Committee on Law and Justice was held here Thursday under the chairmanship of MNA Chaudhry Muhammad Asharaf.
ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Apr, 2018 ) :A meeting of the National Assembly Standing Committee on Law and Justice was held here Thursday under the chairmanship of MNA Chaudhry Muhammad Asharaf.
The Committee considered the Bill "The National Accountability Ordinance (Amendment) Bill, 2015 (Omission of Section 28, Ordinance XVIII of 1999) moved by Muahmmad Ayaz Soomro, MNA and directed the Bill had been lapsed due to death of the Mover.
The Committee considered the Bill " The Supreme Court (Number of Judges) (Amendment) Bill 2017 moved by Ms.Surriya Asghar, MNA, after detailed deliberations the committee decided to recommend that the Bill may be passed by the National Assembly with amendment that the number of Judges shall be enhanced from sixteen to eighteen.
The Committee considered the Bill "The Constitution (Thirteen Amendment) Bill, 2017 (Government Bill)," The IIolders of Public Exchequer (Accountability) Bill,2015 (Repeal of NAB Ordinance1999) moved by Muhammad Raza Hayat Harraj, MNA, " The National Accountability (Amendment) Bill, 2016 Amendment of Section 6,25,26,31 B and 33D Ordinance XVIII of 1999) moved by Dr.
Arif Alvi, MNA, "The National Accountability (Amendment)Bill, 2016 moved by Sheikh Salahuddin, MNA," The National Accountability (Amendment) Bill,2016 moved by Shaibzada Tariqullah, MNA and decided that the Bills may be deferred till its next meeting for further deliberatrions.
MNAs/Movers, Muhammad Moeen Wattoo, Syed Imran Ahmed Shah, Sabiha Nazir, Kiran Haider, Syed Naveed Qamar, Ali Muhammad Khan Advocate, Dr.Arif Alavi, S.A Iqbal Quadri, Moulana Muhammad Khan Sherani, Aisha Syed, Sahibzada Tariullah and Surriya Asghar attended the meeting besides senior officers from the ministry of law and justice.
