NHA Can Be Role Model Through Reforms In Service-structure: Dr Ishrat

Advisor to the Prime Minister on Institutional Reforms and Austerity Dr Ishrat Hussain Friday said National Highway Authority (NHA) can be transformed into a role model institution through reforms in service-structure.

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Nov, 2018 ) :Advisor to the Prime Minister on Institutional Reforms and Austerity Dr Ishrat Hussain Friday said National Highway Authority (NHA) can be transformed into a role model institution through reforms in service-structure.

He was addressing NHA officers and workers on institutional reforms, re-organization of the Federal government for better public service delivery and economic growth, at NHA headquarters here.

The advisor said termination of traditional pay scales, promotion rules, seniority list and ACRs are important parts of such reforms.

He siad the present government is committed to bring about good governance and better delivery system in public sector organization.

Secretary Communications Shoaib Ahmad Siddiqui and NHA Chairman Jawwad Rafique Malik briefed about existing service structure, performance level and challenges.

NHA Member Planning Asim Amin, General Manager RAMD Ikramus Saqlian Haider and others presented individual experiences and observations with regard to service rules and injustices being faced by the NHA employees.

Dr Ishrat Hussain said Prime Minister Imran Khan is strong-willed on introducing reforms based on termination of corruption and delivery of justice that will help highlight soft image of Pakistan.

He said the government is promoting dialogue culture among stakeholders for better service reforms, by reviewing bureautic channel and performance of public sector organizations.
