Over 35,000 MW Electricity To Be Added In National Grid Till 2030: Energy Expert

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Mar, 2018 ) :Energy Expert Dr Gulfaraz Ahmed has said the present government has launched many long term power projects that are expected to add more than 35,000MW electricity in national grid till 2030 out of which 10,000MW has already been added in national grid station.
Talking to a Radio Programme, he said it is a good development that Asian Development Bank has signed a $260 million loan agreement with Pakistan to improve the country's power transmission network.
The cooperation between Pakistan and China would continue in other areas such as infrastructure, transport, education and poverty alleviation that would strengthen the economy, he said. Various long and short term measures were taken to address energy crisis as per PML-N's election manifesto and the additional electricity to the national grid would help to ease load shedding in the country, he maintained.
