PM's Promise Of Providing Health Insurance Cards Being Honoured: Shah Muhmmad Shah

HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Jun, 2017 ) : The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz's Central Vice President Syed Shah Muhammad Shah has said Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif's promise of providing health insurance cards to poor people in Sindh is being honoured.
"We are honouring the PM's promise of supporting the poor families in Sindh who can't afford to pay for quality private medical healthcare," said Shah while speaking at the launching ceremony of the health card distribution centers here on Saturday.
He informed that soon the health cards would be given to the deserving people in other districts of Sindh. "The PM launched this project purely to serve the people whose financial condition doesn't allow private healthcare from quality hospitals," he observed.
The PML-N's leader appreciated the role of State Life Insurance Corporation of Pakistan for issuance of the cards to the deserving people. "Nawaz Sharif is the name of an honest person who despite all the mud-slinging campaigns will continue to serve the people and develop the country," he said.
Earlier, Executive Director of the non-profit organization Management and Development Foundation (MDF) Mustafa Rajpar informed that 123,656 health cards would be distributed among as many beneficiaries in Hyderabad.
"We are trying to complete this process in three months time," he told.Rajper apprised that 7 card distribution centers had been opened in Qasimabad, Latifabad Unit 7, Phulelli, Market Tower, Tando Fazal, Tandojam and Hatri areas.
The recipients of the health cards could avail up to Rs. 250,000 per annum of health expenses for treatment in the private hospitals, he added. He told that 4 hospitals in Hyderabad include ISRA hospital, Maajee Hospital, Red Crescent General Hospital and Red Crescent Cardiac Hospital were on panel of the PM's project.
Rajpar informed that a publicity campaign was being carried out in order to reach out to the beneficiaries. He added that his organization would also recommend new beneficiaries to the Federal government for provision of health cards in the next phase.
PML-N Hyderabad Division President Shah Zaman Shah, PML-N Sindh labour wing President Qamar Zaman Rajpar and other PML-N Sindh's office-bearers attended the ceremony.
