
PSC To Fill Vacant Above Grade 11 Posts In LG Department: Minister

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th August, 2016) : Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Senior Minister for Local Government (LG) and Rural Development Inayatullah has said that to enhance capacity building of employees of Local Government Department the power of recruitment for vacancies above Grade 11 have been shifted from the department to the Public Service Commission (PSC). He expressed these views as a chief guest in concluding ceremony of two months long training held for newly recruited engineers, accountants and officers of administrative cadre.
He informed that appointment on vacancies of Village Council secretaries and below grade 11 have been made in a transparent way through National Testing Service (NTS). Senior Minister said these steps would not only help recruiting qualified staff in the department but would also enhance its performance to ensure availability of basic facilities to the people.
He said service structure has been given to engineers, accountants and officers, officials of administrative cadres group for quick promotions and improve their professional capabilities while consultant have been hired with the assistance of German Development Organization (GIZ) for service structure of non Provincial Unified Group of Functionaries (PUGF) staff. Secretary Local Government Syed Jamaluddin Shah, Secretary Local Council board Syed Zafar Ali Shah, Director Local Governance school Barkatullah Khattak and concerned officials were present on the occasion.
