PTI ATM Declared Corrupt, Dishonest IK Has Double Standard Over Corruption, Accountability: Asfandyar Wali

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Dec, 2017 ) :Central President of ANP leader Asfandyar Wali Khan Friday strongly reprimanded Chairman PTI Imran Khan (IK) over double standards about corruption and accountability, saying the Supreme Court had declared his party's general secretary Jahangir Tareen as corrupt and dishonest.

Addressing a function on the occasion of the 5th death anniversary of the ANP leader Bashir Ahmad Bilour here, the ANP leader said that the ATM of Imran Khan was out of order. He also took PTI chief Imran Khan to task over what he called his (Imran) double standard about corruption and accountability.

The PTI Chief was silent over corruption charges from PTI's members against the KP Chief Minister. He asked that why the Ehtesab commission was not working in the province. The people of the province would hold accountability of the corrupt mafia and the PTI would be wiped out from the province in the coming general elections.

Corruption was at its peak in the KP with no check insight as the KP Ehtisab Commission had been made redundant by the PTI led coalition government in the province since 2013. The ANP President said that Imran Khan was in habit of declaring the entire political party corrupt, over tainted record of an individual in that party.

However, now when the Supreme Court declared ATM of PTI corrupt the PTI Chief had taken a u-turn over his earlier stance and not willing to accept the verdict of the apex court. Asfandyar Wali Khan said all the political entities in the country were united on the merger of the Fata into the KP before the general elections in 2018 with due representation in the KP assembly.

He warned against delay to this effect. There was no second option except to merger the tribal areas in the province at the earliest as the stakeholders were on same page to this effect. The ANP leader called for unity for stopping the bloodshed of Pakhtuns in the region, saying that the ANP always struggled for peace in the region.

The Trump's decisions would put the security of the region at stake as the Pukhtoons would be once again the most sufferers in war against terror. He also criticized the recently announced US policy regarding Afghanistan and said that there would be more bloodshed if the Trump's policy was implemented.

He said that the American President's decision regarding Jerusalem would not be accepted, adding that the UN also rejected the US decision with majority vote. Asfandyar Wali Khan paid rich tributes to Bashir Bilour for his services for the party and country.

We are proud of his services and contribution for the cause of the province. He was a brave politician who laid down his life for the country and the nation in war against terror. He was an active voice against terrorism who stood against terrorist like iron wall.
