Rural Support Programme (PRSP) Arranges Mock Drills To Cope With Natural Calamities

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th May, 2018 ) :A series of mock drill was underway by the Pakhtunkhwa Rural Support Programme (PRSP) to cope with natural calamities in better manner. Project Director PRSP, Salman Farooq Khattak told media on Monday that with assistance of USAID Grants Ambassador Fund, the officials of Rescue 1122 taught local people the means to protect themselves and others during the natural calamities at at Shabikhel area of Charsadda district.
The objective of the training was to lessen the affects and losses caused by natural disasters and situations.
The course also included to how help women, children and elderly people during emergency situation.
Khattak further said that PRSP was making efforts for the capacity building of people to minimize losses during floods, earthquakes and other natural calamities. The Rescue 1122 workers taught the people through mock exercises that how could they respond and help each other during any natural calamity.
