Secretariat Police Produces Challan Of Anchor Shanzay Rehman In ATC

The Secretariat police has produced the Challan under section 512 Cr.PC of Anchor Shanzay Rehman in an Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) of Islamabad who had already been declared a proclaimed offender by the said court in a case pertaining to publishing of defamatory interview of Faisal Raza Abidi against Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar.
ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 5th Dec, 2018 ) :The Secretariat police has produced the Challan under section 512 Cr.PC of Anchor Shanzay Rehman in an Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) of Islamabad who had already been declared a proclaimed offender by the said court in a case pertaining to publishing of defamatory interview of Faisal Raza Abidi against Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar.
Charges would be framed against Shanzay Rehman in the next hearing.
The court had already rejected the post arrest bail plea filed over health grounds by the counsel of Abidi in multiple contempt of court cases.
The ATC-II judge Shahrukh Arjumand heard the case.
Abidi is facing FIRs registered at the secretariat police station under PPC's sections 228, 500, 505(ii) and 34, along with the 7 ATA for using threatening language and leveling allegations against government institutions and individuals holding the highest constitutional posts.
