Six Street Criminals, Dacoits Netted From Islamabad

Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) of Islamabad Police have arrested six persons involved in dacoities and street crimes, a police spokesman said.
ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Apr, 2018 ) :Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) of Islamabad Police have arrested six persons involved in dacoities and street crimes, a police spokesman said.
He said that the operation was conducted on the directives of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operations, Najeeb-ur-Rehman Bugvi. SP (Investigation) Zubair Ahmed Sheikh constituted a special team under the supervision of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) CIA Muhammad Ashraf Shah including Sub-Inspector Mushtaq Ahmed, ASI Mohsin Ali, Head Constables Basharat Usman, Muhammad Asghar, Jawad Ali, Ali Asghar and Asad Ali to conduct the operation against street criminals and dacoits.
According to details, the police team raided the hideout of dacoits on a tip off in sector G-13/4 near Kashmir Highway. Police team succeeded to arrest six persons and recovered two stolen motorbikes, one 30-bore pistol, one knife and other items from them.
The arrested have been identified as Aizaz Gul resident of Afghan colony Tarnol, Arshad resident of Chungi no.26 Tarnol, Liaqat Hussain and Liaqat Khan both residents of Dhok Khokhran Chungi no.26 Tarnol, Sohail Khan resident of Merabadi sector G-11 and Sajjad resident of Tehsil Topi Swabi.
During the preliminary investigation, they confessed to strike in various areas of Golra, Tarnol, Shamas Colony, Secretariat and Sabzi Mandi police stations. They also admitted to injure a citizen in firing during dacoity in Golra on August 11, 2017 and also a police constable Muhammad Saleem who reached there to foil their bid.
SSP (Operations) Najeeb-ur-Rehman Bugvi has appreciated the performance of CIA police team and announced cash prizes and commendation certificates for the team members.
