The Supreme Court on Monday sought the federal government's opinion regarding the legal status of Gilgit-Baltistan (GB)
A seven-member larger bench of the apex court headed by Justice Gulzar Ahmed heard the case.
During the course of proceedings, Justice Gulzar remarked that the government had filed an appeal and sought some time for legislation. It had suggested some amendments in the law.
The government seemed to have no clear stance regarding Gilgit-Baltistan, which showed that it was working on someone's dictation, he added.
Later, the court directed the federal government to submit its response regarding Gilgit-Baltistan and adjourned hearing of the case over absence of the Attorney General till after Eid holidays.
