Urdu Poet Kaleem Usmani Remembered

Famous Urdu poet Kaleem Usmani was remembered Tuesday on the occasion of his 18th death anniversary. Born on February 28,1928 in Saharanpur, his real name was Ehtisham Ilahi. After partition he migrated to Pakistan and settled in Lahore.
ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th Aug, 2018 ) :Famous urdu poet Kaleem Usmani was remembered Tuesday on the occasion of his 18th death anniversary. Born on February 28,1928 in Saharanpur, his real name was Ehtisham Ilahi. After partition he migrated to Pakistan and settled in Lahore.
Besides Ghazals ,he wrote many Naats and several national songs which were aired from both ptv and Radio Pakistan.. He also remained attached with film industry and wrote over hundred songs for 37 movies.
