
US Ambassador Condemns Quetta Attacks

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 8th August, 2016) : US Ambassador to Pakistan David Hale on Monday strongly condemned the attacks in Quetta, that caused loss of precious human lives. "On behalf of the US Mission to Pakistan, I strongly condemn today's horrendous and despicable attacks in Quetta, the murder of Bilal Kasi, the Balochistan Bar Association President, and the bombing at the Civil Hospital," the US Ambassador said in a statement issued by the US Embassy here. He extended his deepest condolences to the victims and their families during the time of grief. "This brutal and senseless attack on civilians, so many of them lawyers working to bring justice to their country, will not undermine one of the most important pillars of Pakistan's democracy and civil society," the statement said.
"We know this attack will not weaken the determination of the Pakistani people to create a secure, stable, and prosperous country. The United States stands with the government and people of Pakistan, and is committed to supporting them in the fight against terrorism. We support Pakistan's efforts to bring to justice those behind the attack," it added.
