Pakistani Movie 'Cake' Wins Praises From India

Indian actor Kubbra Sait, who has starred in Sacred Games, took to Twitter to laud the Pakistani movie.

Thanking Indian actor and dancer Nakuul Mehta for the recommendation, Sait said: “My eyes are still wet. What a great film and incredible actors.”
Tagging Aamina Sheikh, Adnan Malik and Sanam Saeed from the movie’s cast, she said, “The Amma and Abba are just superlative performances. Asim Abbasi please take a bow.”
Responding to this, Sanam Saeed said she is loving Netflix and Amazon for letting this cross border exchange to flourish.
“We get to see all these awesome webseries, independent films and brilliant talent! @KubbraSait you had me spellbound in #SacredGames.
So glad you got to see #cakethefilm. Thank you for the love!” she wrote.
“You got me Girl! ❤️ Those gasps of desperation and frustration 😢” Kubbra Sait reciprocated the love.
Cake is a 2018 Pakistani comedy drama film directed by Asim Abbasi. The film is produced by Syed Zulfikar Bukhari.
It revolves around the life of two sisters – Sanam Saeed and Aamina Sheikh – one of whom lives abroad and the other is left behind here. It showcases their conflicts in dealing with their relationships and parents.
Aamina Sheikh, Sanam Saeed and Adnan Malik starrer ‘Cake’ has also been selected as Pakistan’s official submission for 91st academy Awards.
