The actress calls it an eventful night with rain and tents blowing
Islamabad (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 14th June, 2018) Pakistani actress Syra Shahroz is in China Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Film Festival as her debut film ‘Chalay Thay Sath’ is being screened at the festival.
Syra took to Instagram and shared her experience from China diaries and apparently, it was one eventful night with rain and tents blowing.
Sharing a picture from the event, Syra wrote, “A very eventful night I must say. From walking out in the rain to getting stuck under this tent with 11 other countries, to having the tent being blown off by the rain and wind (it was quite stormy actually) and of course, don’t miss the frizz! But hey, I ain’t complaining, where’s the adventure without a bit of fun?”
Nonetheless, Syra still managed to look flawless despite the mess.
‘Chalay Thay Saath’ was released on April 21, 2017. The movie featured Syra Shahroz, Kent S Leung, Mansha Pasha, Osama Tahir and Zhalay Sarhadi.
The movie did well on the box office for its refreshing storyline and amazing visuals.
Although the film did not do much to impress critics, it was well received by the audience all over.
The Ministry of Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage has selected Chalay Thay Saath to represent Pakistan at the Infocus programme as well as the FilmMart expo.
Talking to a local newspaper, Syra Shahroze expressed her excitement for representing Pakistan on international forum.
“From full house screening in Hong Kong to getting selected in several film festivals, it’s done tremendously well post it’s Pakistan release. One of those festivals was the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation Film Festival. Now, it’s making its way to the SCO film festival in China and I’m super thrilled to be representing Pakistan on an international platform,” she said.
The SCO film festival is being held in Qingdao, east China’s Shandong Province from June 13 to June 17, 2018. Pakistan is one of the 12 countries to have been invited to participate in the SCO festival.
