Australia Beats Pakistan By Eight Wickets

AJ Finch scored century and declared man of the match. Pakistan set the target of 281 runs which the visitors chased in 49th over. Haris Sohail made the maiden OID century of the career.
LAHORE- (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News- 23rd March 2019) Australia has won the first ODI against Pakistan by eight wickets.
Playing first at Sharjah Cricket Stadium, Shoaib-11 set the target of 281 runs for the visitors which they chased in the second last over at loss of two wickets.
AJ Finch made 116 off 135 balls with the help of eight boundaries and four sixes and declared man of the match. SE March was the second highest scorer who scored 91 not out along with PSP Handscomb who made 30 not out and chased the target at the last ball of the 49th ball. Usman Khawaja who made two centuries in last two matches against India could not make a solid start. Shoaib Malk took his catch on Fahim Ashraf’s delivery at a score of 24. Muhammad Abbas took the second wicket of Finch.
Earlier, Pakistan won the toss and playing first set a target of 281 runs for Australia in first ODI being played at Sharjah.
Haris Sohail made the maiden ODI century of his international career and went not out on the score of 101. He made his century on 115 balls with the help of six fours and one six.
Imam-ul-Haq and Shan Masood opened the innings but Imam was just at 17 when NM Lyon dismissed him. Colter-Nile bowled Masood at 40. He made this score on 62 balls with the help of five boundaries and one six. Nile took the second wicket of Umar Akmal when he was two runs behind his half-century. Akmal made his entry into international cricket after two years on interval and made the runs off 50 balls with the help of three sixes. GJ Maxwell bowled Captain Shoaib Malik at 11 and JA Richardson took the wicket of Fahim at the score of 28. Imad Wasim broke the innings with two boundaries at last two balls along with Haris. He made 28 not out from 13 balls. Pakistan made 281 in total at the loss of five wickets in the first ODI.
