DMC South Defence Day Boxing Championship

KARACHI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News -8th Sept,2016) : The Muslim Azad Boxing Club has won the District Municipal Corporation (DMC), Karachi South, Defence Day Boxing Championship. The organizers said on Thursday that the event was played at the Kikri Ground Stadium, Kemari Boxing Club remained the runners up.
The third position in the tournament was secured by the Young Baloch Boxing Club. As many as 66 boxers participated in the tournament. The winners in various categories were: Bilal Qambrani, Aman Qambrahi, Faisal, Bashir, Shahroze, Nabil, Yousuf, Nijat Ali, Sajid Rasheed, Muhammad Younus, Imad.
The Chairman of DMC South, Malik Fayyaz, was the chief guest and distributed prizes among the winners.
The MPA from Lyari, Ms. Sania Naz, Chairman UC 12, Habib Hassan, and Director Sports South, Asif Azeem, were also present on this occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Malik Fayyaz said that the event was organized to pay tributes to the Shaheed and Ghazis of the September 1965 war. He said that the DMC South would promote sports events to provide healthy recreational opportunities to the youngsters and hone their talent and abilities.
MPA Sania Naz said while honouring the Shaheed and Ghazis of the September 1965 war, that concerted efforts should also be made for the progress and development of the country.
