Friendly cricket match played to commemorate APS martyrs

A friendly cricket match was played between junior teams of Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FCCI) and MS Cricket Club to commemorate martyrs of Army Public School (APS) Peshawar, in connection with their 4th anniversary.

FAISALABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Dec, 2018 ) :A friendly cricket match was played between junior teams of Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FCCI) and MS Cricket Club to commemorate martyrs of Army Public school (APS) Peshawar, in connection with their 4th anniversary.

Batting first, MS Cricket Club scored 108 runs during the prescribed 25 over. Ali scored half century while Basharat and Hamza Nazir could muster 43 and 21 runs, respectively.

Ahmad, Mohammad Ali, Dilawar and Abdullah Nazir got wickets for FCCI.

Chasing a victory target of 109 runs, the FCCI team was bowled out at only 90 runs.

Mohammad Abdullah remained top scorer of the FCCI Junior Cricket team.

Speaking on the occasion, FCCI Secretary General Abid Masood said that friendly fixture was arranged to pay tribute to the young martyrs.

He said that peace restored in Pakistan was the natural outcome of thousands of sacrifices offered by Pakistan Army, law enforcement agencies and other government departments including the students of APS.

Later, he also patted both teams and assured that FCCI in line with its Social Corporate Responsibilities would continue to promote healthy sports activities in the city.
