IMSB Jhang Syedan Win WAPDA T-12 Cricket Tournament

Islamabad Model School for Boys (IMSB), Jhang Syedan won WAPDA T-12 Schools Cricket Tournament, defeating Beacon House School System in final of the tournament,
ISLAMABAD, Sept 22 (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Sep, 2017 ) : � Islamabad Model school for Boys (IMSB), Jhang Syedan won WAPDA T-12 Schools Cricket Tournament, defeating Beacon House School System in final of the tournament, played here Friday� at Bhutto Cricket Stadium.
Bating first, Islamabad Model School for Boys, Jhang Syedan set a target of 149 runs for Beacon House School System, as they were all out at 56 runs. Abdul Hameed of Islamabad Model School for Boys Jhang Syedan was declared man of the match, who scored 56 runs in the final, said a press release.
Zarak Khan of Roots Millennium School declared best Batsman, Saad Azhar of Islamabad Model School for Boys Jhang Syedan and Yousaf of Islamabad Model Collage for Boys F-8/4 destined for best Bowler and best Fielder respectively.
Former test player, Ali Naqvi was the Chief Guest of the final match, who gave away the Winner and Runners up Trophies to the contesting teams.
The tournament was organized by WAPDA sports board.
Addressing the ceremony, Ali Naqvi congratulated WAPDA on organising the tournament. He expressed hope that such innovative efforts by WAPDA will help improve the standard of fielding in Pakistani cricket.
It is pertinent to mention that this was the 3rd� T-12 Schools Cricket Tournament organized by WAPDA as part of its corporate social responsibility with a view to improve the standard of fielding in Pakistani cricket.
As many as 8 teams namely Beaconhouse School System, Islamabad College of Arts & Science, Roots Millennium School, West Minister International School, Islamabad Model Collage for Boys Chak Shahzad, Islamabad Model Collage for Boys F-8/4, Islamabad Model School for Boys Jhang Syedan, and Islamabad Model School for Boys I-9/4 participated in the 5-day cricket tournament which was played under rules focused on fielding skills of the players.
