Inter-Media Youth Gala Begins Amidst Great Fun And Enthusiasm

The 2nd edition of the Inter-Youth Gala carrying four different Games and involving almost 110 journalists got under way here at Qayyum Sports Complex amidst great fun and enthusiasm witnessed among all the participating journalists from print and electronic media
PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Nov, 2017 ) :The 2nd edition of the Inter-Youth Gala carrying four different Games and involving almost 110 journalists got under way here at Qayyum sports Complex amidst great fun and enthusiasm witnessed among all the participating journalists from print and electronic media.
Leader of the Awami National Party Malik Tariq Awan, Director General Sports KP Junaid Khan, President Peshawar District cricket Association Asghar Ali, Secretary Syed Hanif Shah, President KP Sports Writers Association Jehanzeb Siddique, members of the Khyber Union of Journalists, Peshawar Press Club and KP Sports Writers Association and large number of spectators were also present.
The Inter-Media Gala was formally inaugurated by Malik Tariq Awan and Junaid Khan in a coloforful ceremony. The Inter-Media Gala carrying games like cycling, ten pin bowling, archery and athletic.
On the opening day in the cycling event of 1km track race Danish clocked 46.00sec got first position, followed by Saad bin Owais 48.22sec and Asif Sherez got third position by clocking 48.75sec.
Kaleem 48.81sec, Adil Pervez with 50.17sec, Muhammad Wasif with 51.05sec, Safeer clocked 51.25sec, Ijaz Ahmad of APP with 51.56sec, Bilal Khan with 51.57sec, Hashim Khan with 53.34sec, Ijaz Butt with 54.53sec, Muhammad Arif with 55.44sec, Muhammad Azmat Ullah with 55.41sec, Muhammad Kamran with 57.
22sec were the other position holders.
In the Athletic 400m flat race Shahid Afridi got first position with his team 1.23sec, followed by Muhammad Wasif with 1.25sec took second position and Asim Sheraz claimed third position with 1.30sec.
The Archery event will be organized under Peshawar District Archery Association led by Sarah Khan who is also running a Pakhtunkhwa Archery Club in Pakistan Sports board Coaching Center and Ten Pin Bowling will be organized in Dean Trade Center.
Speaking on this occasion, Malik Tariq Awan appreciated the KP Sports Writers Association for holding the event in which more than 110 journalists are taking part. He said such healthy activities are very vital for the journalist community because of their hectic schedule on dialing basis.
He also advised the journalists to give due time to their routine healthcare and exercise. He also assured that he would continue his support to the journalists both financially and morally. Director General Sports KP Junaid Khan said that such activities would give ample opportunities to the journalists to give due attention to their health besides helping them release their tension.
The journalists have very hectically involved and could not fine time for healthy activities. He also assured that Directorate of Sports and Youth would always extend support to KP Sports Writers Association.
