Youth Must Utilise SBP Sports Infrastructure To Polish Skills: DG SBP

The Sports Board Punjab (SBP) has established top standard sports infrastructure across the province and the talented youth must utilise these facilities to polish their skills in their respective games
This was stated by SBP Director General Adnan Arshad Aulakh during his inspection visit of existing sports infrastructure on Thursday.
He directed the concerned officials and staff to maintain the valuable sports infrastructure so that potential athletes can take maximum benefit out of these sports facilities.
First the Director General Sports Punjab visited Shahnaz Sheikh Hockey Stadium and Municipal Football Stadium in Rawalpindi. He also inspected the pavilion, hockey turf and floodlights at Waqar-un-Nisa Girls College and badminton, table tennis and squash courts in Liaqat Bagh Sports Complex.
After observing these sports facilities, he went to Pindi Gymnasium where he witnessed various parts of grand sports facility. He also planted a sapling there as part of Punjab Governments " Aik Basher Do Shajar' tree plantation campaign.
Adnan Arshad Aulakh also witnessed attractive gymnastic performance of young athletes at Pindi Gymnasium and praised the agile gymnasts.
Director General Sports Punjab was accompanied by Divisional Sports Officer Malik Waqar, DSO Shamas Tauhhed Abbasi and other officials during his inspection visit.
He also visited Sawar Muhammad Shaheed cricket stadium in Gujjar Khan and inspected construction work there. He directed the staff concerned to complete the remaining construction work within a month.
He also planted a sapling at Sawar Muhammad Hussain Shaheed cricket stadium.
After Gujjar Khan, Director General Sports Punjab visited the under-construction cricket ground at Chak Aqqa in Tehsil Dina and urged the staff concerned to complete the remaining construction work as early as possible.
Adnan Arshad Aulakh's next destination was Sports Gymnasium in Jhelum where he examined the sports facilities thoroughly. He also planted a sapling there under Punjab Govt's 'Aik Basher Do Shajar' tree plantation campaign.
Divisional Sports Officer Malik Waqar gave a detailed briefing to Director General Sports Punjab about the existing sports facilities. Deputy Commissioner Jhelum was also present on this occasion.
Later, Director General Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh also examined swimming pool in Gujrat. DSO Gujrat briefed the DG Sports about the functioning of swimming pool.
