AJK Receives New Spell Of Rains And Heavy Snow Falls

The capital of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Muzaffarabad and mountainous areas of high altitudes of the state received a new spell of heavy rains and snow falls after the intervals of four days since Friday evening which dipped the temperature down and made the weather chilly and forced the people to remain indoors
According to the Met Office, the townships of Muzaffarabad, Hattian, Kahori, Ghari Dopatta, Ghari Habibullah, Bagh, Dheerkot, Rawalakot, Hajira and Plundari received heavy showers for last 24 hours while the mountains of Neelum, Muzaffarabad, Bagh and Rawalakot districts covered with white carpet of snow which made the temperature chili and water frozen.
The transport on the roads in Muzaffarabad was seen very low and the business activities were witnessed poor as the markets were presenting deserted look.
The rains in the capital was continue till the filing of this report and the Met officials predicted continuation of these showers till next 18 hours besides, the snow falling at the mountains of Pirchinasi, Ganja Taka, Sudhan Ghali, Toli Pir and other high altitudes.
