Black Limousine Seen in Vladivostok Ahead of Planned Putin-Kim Summit

VLADIVOSTOK (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 23rd April, 2019) A black limousine on Tuesday was caught on camera at a campus of the Far Eastern Federal University in Vladivostok, where Russian President Vladimir Putin and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un are expected to hold a meeting later in April.

Earlier in the day, media reported that Kim's limousine was transferred to Vladivostok by plane.

A campus employee told Sputnik that two black limousines were seen on its territory, however, it is unknown, whom they belong to. There is also a video uploaded to social networks showing how a black limousine with blacked-out windows is moving through the central gate of the university campus, accompanied by police cars and followed by several buses.

A spokesperson for the Vladivostok airport told Sputnik that one of the two aircraft that came from Pyongyang was meant for carrying cargo.

"There was one passenger plane and the Il-76 cargo aircraft.

There is no information about the cargo itself," the spokesperson said.

Both planes have already left Vladivostok, a spokesperson for Air Koryo told Sputnik refusing to comment on the cargo type.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Monday that the Putin-Kim meeting would take place before the end of April. Earlier, a source in Russia's Far Eastern Railway told Sputnik that Kim's armored train would arrive in Vladivostok on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, South Korean media have suggested that the talks are most likely to be held in Vladivostok. An employee of a Vladivostok train station told Sputnik last week that North Korean official Kim Chang Son, who was seen in Vladivostok last Wednesday, had been examining security measures at the station.

Kim Yo Jong, the younger sister of the North Korean leader, arrived in Vladivostok on Tuesday, South Korean media reported, citing sources.
