Two Palestinians died and 55 were injured in clashes with Israeli troops on the border with the Gaza Strip, a spokesman for the Gaza Health Ministry told Sputnik on Friday
"Two Palestinians died, including one teenager, and 55 were injured as a result of clashes with Israeli soldiers at the eastern border of the Gaza Strip," Ashraf al-Qidra said.
Late on Tuesday, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) killed two Palestinians in the city of Nablus after they threw several explosive devices at the Israeli troops.
The incident took place several hours after the Israeli forces had killed a Palestinian suspected of carrying out a deadly attack in the West Bank on Sunday, which left two Israelis killed.
The Israeli-Palestinian conflict escalated in March 2018, when Palestinians launched the continuing protest campaigns called the "Great Return Marches" at the Gaza border. Since the start of the protests, hundreds of Palestinians have been killed and thousands have been injured.
