VLADIVOSTOK (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 26th April, 2019) North Korean leader Kim Jong Un said that he would visit the Russian city of Vladivostok once again, Oleg Kozhemyako, the governor of the Russian Primorsky Territory, said on Friday, after Kim departed from the city.
Kim has left Vladivostok by train after his three-day visit to the city. Before the departure, he had a lunch with the governor.
"Yes. He promised to come back. He liked the city, he liked the region," Kozhemyako told reporters after a farewell ceremony.
He noted that the local authorities had done their best to put the city's best foot forward.
"There are places he did not visit, but wanted to. That's why I think we have something to show him in Vladivostok [next time]," Kozhemyako added.
Kim's visit to Vladivostok is his first visit to Russia since he came to power in 2011 as well as the North Korean leader's first overseas trip since his re-election as the chairman of the State Affairs Commission earlier in April.
As part of the visit, Kim met Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday.
